Copper Cottonwood Tree of Life Bonsai, Rooted in Snow Quartz

This tree chose to be a Cottonwood – wild, unstructured, water-loving. Typically living 70 to 100 years, Cottonwoods can thrive for up to 200–400 years. The tree’s asymmetry is a deliberate balance with its Snow Quartz base.

To honor both the tree and the stone, I experimented with more naturalistic leaves using new techniques (thank you, Carol L. Mickey of OnlyTrees!).

Female Cottonwoods produce pale green seed pods, reflected here in approximately 240 beads and chips of Emerald, Citrine, Moonstone, and Clear Quartz. These stones also represent elemental forces:
☀️ Citrine for the Sun
🌙 Moonstone for the Moon
💧 Clear Quartz for Water

Pure copper — a natural conductor of energy — may develop a beautiful patina over time.

This is Tree Sculpture #6.
